 ERNESTO HERNANDEZ OLMOS
Ernesto Hernandez Olmos was born in Oaxaca, Mexico on November 6, 1971. He completed his degree in Art at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Oaxaca, Benito Juarez in 1996. He has also studied sculpture at the Rufino Tamayo School of Art. He has participated in over forty collective exhibits, eight one-man shows, and mural projects. His paintings have been shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in an exhibit on young Oaxacan painters.
Hernandez has also participated in many of Oaxaca^s traditional celebrations, such as the Day of the Dead Altar contest and the December Radish Sculpture Festival, winning first, second and third prizes. Hernandez has shown his paintings in numerous venues throughout the Bay Area including the Oakland Museum and Legion of Honor art Museum.
Hernandez has also studied music and dance extensively. He has been teaching art, music and dance to children and adults for the last six years and he is working with the Canal Welcome Center in order to develop a new art program in The Canal community. He is currently serving as an Artist in the Schools for a California Arts Council program hosted by MOCHA (The Museum of Children^s Art), and for the Mexican Museum Street Smart Program in San Francisco. Hernandez is also a member of Luchart, a group of Mexican artists dedicated to promoting Arts and Culture.

CARLOS A. HERRERA
Carlos Herrera was born in 1957 in San Jose de la Boca in Durango, Mexico. His father, Francisco Herrera, and his brother, Guerrero Herrera, were very well known leather artisans and the most important teachers in his life.
His father’s heritage, as leather artisan, engaged Mr. Herrera to discover his natural talent and years later he developed special art skills using leather.
Carlos Herrera was a resident of the Canal Community for many years and his art has been awarded at state and local level. Carlos focuses his art with the Mexican Mythology and ancestral roots. His artwork has been presented in different fairs, schools, and community organizations. Please enjoy Mr. Herrera^s artwork.
  
 
DANIEL CAMACHO
Daniel Camacho is an alumnus of Mexico City's National Institute of Fine Arts, "La Esmeralda", as well as the San Carlos College of Fine Arts in the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He has lived and worked as a professional artist / cultural worker in California for 14 years. Previously, in Mexico, he devoted 16 years to the cultural group he co-founded, "Ojos de Lucha" ("Eyes of the Struggle"). For the past eight years, he has taught art and installation to schoolchildren in Richmond and Oakland. He has painted numerous murals on all sides of the Bay, as well as around the world, including Canada, Mexico, Central America, Germany, Spain, and the United States.
"For over 20 years, my professional efforts have been devoted to public art. I have worked alongside many organizations, creating images to empower people in their work for social change. I have worked with artists from many parts of the world, to create images that unite people from different backgrounds. I have spent many years capturing people’s experiences on large canvasses (“mobile murals”), creating images that symbolize the struggles, the challenges, the accomplishments, and the joys of ordinary people. "

RAUL DEL RIO
describes his painting style as "Modern Primitive". His work allows him to combine two
main interests: Nature and Heritage. Raul grew up in the border towns of Matamoros,
MX and Brownsville, TX. He Studied at the Acadamia de San Carlos in Mexico City,
after exploring the field of Architecture at Texas A&M University.
